Building a Healthier Heartland —
Together.
A Coordinated Approach to Rural Health
The Heartland Rural Health Consortium (HRHC) is a collaborative alliance of healthcare organizations, public agencies, and community partners. We work to strengthen healthcare access and support community-based care models that are responsive to the needs of rural residents. Our service region includes Southern Illinois and communities across the Heartland, with a shared focus on dignity, trust, and equitable health outcomes.
Inclusivity
All Individuals have a right to healthcare that is accessible, trustworthy, and community-centered—every time, without exception. We proudly serve our neighbors across the Heartland and residents beyond our regional corridor. Together, we operate with a strong commitment to delivering quality care and equitable service. We maintain an environment where inclusive care is not another initiative, but a standard practice.
Why This Work Matters
Rural communities deserve healthcare that is close, reliable, and rooted in trust. We are uniting local and neighboring partners to reduce health disparities and build a stronger system of care together.
Our Mission
Our mission is to strengthen rural health by advancing equitable care and empowering local voices. HRHC works to eliminate health disparities through collective action, with a deep commitment to the well-being of every community we serve.
"Together we are building something historic — a unified movement for health equity and hope across the Heartland."
